Financing & Payment — No Deposit, Pay As the Work Gets Done

We don't take deposits. You pay as the work gets done, and you hold the final payment until we walk the finished job together and you sign off. Here's exactly how it works.

How payment works

1. No deposit.

We don't ask for money to start. The horror story we hear most — "they took the deposit and stopped answering the phone" — can't happen here, because there's no deposit to take.

2. Pay as the work gets done.

Your contract lists the payment milestones next to the work you can see with your own eyes — after demo and rough-in, after tile, after fixtures, and so on. Each payment comes after that work is done, not before.

3. You hold the final payment.

Nothing is final until we walk the finished job together, item by item, and you sign off. Anything not right gets fixed before we're done. That's the Sign-Off Guarantee, printed in your contract.

Ways to pay

Pay each milestone however you like. You get a receipt for every payment, and your itemized contract shows exactly which work each payment covered.

Financing

Want to spread the cost of a bigger project? Bring it up at your free in-home consultation. We'll go over the options that fit your project and your budget, in plain English, with no pressure. We don't hide interest inside the price and we don't push a plan on anyone. Nothing is decided until you've seen the numbers and had time to think.

The price you pay is the price you signed

Your price is itemized and fixed before work starts, and it cannot change without your signature on a written change order. No surprise invoice at the end, no after-hours fee that appears later. No franchise fees, no commissioned salesmen and no rented subcontractors is how we typically land 15–30% under national-brand quotes for the same or better spec. Bring us any written quote and we'll match the scope line by line.

Straight answers

Do you take a deposit?

No. You pay as the work gets done, at milestones listed in your contract, and the final payment waits for the item-by-item walkthrough and your sign-off.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, check and all major credit cards. Pick whichever works for you at each milestone — you'll get a receipt every time.

Do you offer financing?

If you'd like to spread the cost of a larger project, ask at your free consultation and we'll walk through the options with you, with no pressure and no interest hidden in the price.

What does 'no interest if paid in full' financing really mean?

It means the interest is still being counted the whole time, and it's waived only if you clear the entire balance before the promo period ends. Miss the date by a month and the lender can add back every dollar of interest from day one. If you use one of these, set your own payment so the balance hits zero a month early, and read the exact payoff date on the agreement — not the date the salesman says.

Can I get financing if my credit isn't perfect?

Often, yes — lenders in this space look at more than one number, and a secured option through your home equity is usually cheaper than an unsecured loan when credit is bruised. We'll walk through the options with you at the free consultation and won't pretend to be your loan officer. And because we take no deposit on most jobs, you're not scrambling to fund a big payment before we ever pick up a tool.

What if money gets tight partway through the job?

Tell us early, not late. Our payments are tied to milestones in your contract, so if something changes there's usually room to adjust the schedule or trim scope with a written change order before the work happens. If the money problem is with a lender, call them directly — a payment date can often be moved once, and it's far easier before you miss it than after.

Is a home improvement loan tax deductible?

Sometimes. Interest on a loan secured by your home and used to substantially improve that home can be deductible, while an unsecured personal loan for the same project generally isn't. The rules move, and your situation is yours — ask your tax preparer and keep your itemized contract, permits and receipts. We give you all of that paperwork, which is exactly what they'll ask for.

What if I don't want to borrow at all?

Then don't. We take no deposit on most jobs and you pay at milestones as the work gets done, with the final payment held until your item-by-item walkthrough — so you're never far out in front of the work. If the whole project is more than you want to spend right now, we'll price it in phases and write both versions, and the price holds for 90 days while you decide.

What decides my monthly payment?

Three things: how much you finance, the interest rate, and the term. A longer term drops the monthly number and raises what you pay overall. Before you compare offers, look at the total cost of the loan, not the payment — that's the figure a finance pitch is designed to keep you from adding up.

What if I'm approved for less than the project costs?

We phase it. We'll split the scope into what has to happen now — anything leaking, unsafe or structural — and what can wait, and write both as separate itemized prices so nothing gets buried. You're not penalized for doing it in two pieces, and the second phase gets quoted at the same spec. No deposit, and no cancellation fee if you never do phase two.

Can I get approved before the estimate, and how long does it take?

You can, and some people prefer knowing their number before anyone comes out. Most lenders give a decision the same day, and having a pre-approval doesn't change the price we quote you — our written, itemized price is the same whether you pay cash or finance. Bring us any other written quote and we'll match the scope line by line so you're comparing the same job.
